Albino Leopard Gecko Morph

Albinos can be identified by their lack of melanin or black pigment. There are three different albino gecko morphs. Bell albino leopard geckos, rainwater albino leopard geckos, and Tremper albino leopard geckos. Each strain has distinguishing factors that help to visually differentiate each other. The Tremper Albino is the most common. It can have body coloration ranging from darker browns to soft yellows. As adults, they have silver eyes with red veins.  The Rainwater Albinos usually have grey eyes and display lighter body colors.  The Bell strain, which is the most recently discovered of the three strains is unique in that they usually have light pink colored eyes and bodies that typically have soft brown spots and lavender coloration.

Your leopard gecko for sale should be kept in a vivarium to prevent escape. It should be made from a solid material that is easy to clean. A 60cm long, 40cm high and 30cm deep vivarium is the minimum size we recommend for one adult leopard gecko but it should be as large as possible. leopard gecko breeders Your vivarium should be kept away from heat sources.To create a ‘basking zone’, use a 60 to 100-watt ceramic lamp or basking lamp. The heat source must be guarded to prevent your reptile from getting hurt. A natural slate or rock should be placed in the basking zone so your leopard gecko can absorb heat through their bellies. A thermostat must be used with all heat sources. Adjust the thermostat temperature and check the basking zone with a digital thermometer until it reaches 28 to 30oC. The cool end should be 24 to 26oC. The heat should be turned off at night to simulate nighttime.

What do baby leopard Geckos eat?

  • Baby Geckos: You should feed your baby gecko crickets that are around 3/8 inches in size.
  • Juvenile Geckos: You should feed your juvenile gecko crickets that are around 1/4 inch in size.
  • Adult geckos: You should feed your adult gecko small adult to adult size crickets.

You can buy crickets easily online or thru ebay.

How often do you feed leopard Geckos?

  • Active, healthy leopard Geckos can be fed as much as they can eat in 15-20 minutes.
  • Leopard Geckos younger than one year should be fed every day.
  • Healthy adult leopard geckos should be fed every other day.
  • Sickly leopard geckos should be fed once a day until they regains their strength.
  • Food should be given late in the day or early in the evening, as that is the time Leopard Geckos are likely to start hunting in the wild.
  • If your Leopard gecko is a problem eater, feed it normally, but leave a dish with worms in its tank in case it wants to eat later.

As mentioned before, most Leos have a healthy appetite. However, while their little bellies may be cute, they should not be allowed to gorge on large amounts of food. You should ensure you tailor the amount of food you give to your Leo according to their eating habits. If your Leo tends to over eat, set an amount of food you want to feed it each day, and stick to that.

What should a Leopard Gecko drink?

Your Leopard Gecko must drink clean, fresh water, that should be available in your gecko’s tank at all times.

Make sure the dish is shallow, so that your Leo can drink from it easily, and there is no chance of it drowning if it managed to climb into it.

As the substrate in the cage should be kept dry, the dish should be stable to avoid spillage.
