Ornate Uromastyx, a member of the spiny-tailed lizard family is a genus Ornate Uromastyx of African or Asian agamid lizard. They are chill personality lizards that can make a great pet reptile.  Lizards in the genus Ornate Uromastyx are primarily herbivorous, meaning they eat greens.  However, Ornate Uromastyx for sale occasionally eats insects and other small animals, especially other small lizards. Ornate Uromastyx can be easily handled and Ornate Uromastyx are very friendly.

This seems to be the hardest uromastyx to come by but when we are able to breed them, we are happy to show that they are truly available and just for you! We also have the Red Uromastyx for sale.

Facts and Care

You will want your habitat’s basking spot to exceed 120 degrees but have an available area where it is only about 90 degrees. It takes a little for them to get used to you but our captive bread uromastyx are tame and docile. Your uvb tube lighting should be on at least 10-12 hours per day as it is indeed a necessity for them to thrive and live long happy lives. Some have been known to really enjoy BELLY RUBS! Our uromastyx is currently eating collard greens, carrots, squash, and calcium supplements, etc. Feed them several times weekly and remember that their favorite food is dark greens.

Currently we also have the red uromastyx and yellow Niger uromastyx available! There is also what you call an Egyptian uromastyx! These little guys are not always the easiest to come by. When we have access and new hatchlings available, we are beyond excited to share them with all of you.
